What is FreeBSD? "FreeBSD is an advanced BSD UNIX operating system for the Intel compatible (x86), DEC Alpha, and PC-98 architectures"...so what the hell does that mean? Well, in my opinion, FreeBSD is an OS that is build by hard working people for hard working people. Built for people that want a reliable and stable machine that can perform a number of tasks at blazing speed. FreeBSD IS high performance at a low cost...it's completely FREE! Another great feature of FreeBSD is that it is Open Source, which means all of the source code for the OS is included with the distribution. That means that if you don't like something or you need a program to act a specific way, you can change it yourself. The possibilites are endless with FreeBSD.
This Guide is a WORK IN PROGRESS. This page will be updated once I complete this guide. Sorry for the inconvience.
PS...sorry about the flaming FreeBSD logo...still playing with Images!
